The whole exterior envelope, self-performed

From the plywood out: weather barrier, continuous insulation, siding, trim, windows, doors and decks. One sub for the envelope, across New England.

When the envelope is split across four subs, your schedule waits on the slowest one and nobody owns the joint where the air barrier meets the window and the siding. We self-perform the whole envelope from the plywood out with our own crews, so one foreman answers to your superintendent for all of it.

We've completed more than 162 new construction projects. The multifamily photos and videos on this site are ours. Send the drawings and your schedule, and you get unit pricing back, line by line.

What we self-perform

  • Siding: vinyl, fiber cement, engineered wood, metal and aluminum panel
  • Weather barrier: self-adhered air barrier and continuous rigid insulation
  • Windows and doors: install or replace, sealed and trimmed
  • Decks, stairs and railings, ground level or elevated
  • Aluminum-wrapped fascia with vinyl soffit

How the wall goes together

A commercial wall is a system. We install every layer in order and photograph the substrate before anything covers it.

  • Substrate inspected and photographed before cover
  • Self-adhered water-resistive air barrier membrane
  • Laps, penetrations and transitions rolled and detailed
  • Continuous rigid insulation set tight and fastened
  • PT furring strips to create the drainage cavity
  • Flashing at every opening and transition
  • Fiber cement in 4 inch and 8 inch reveal, shingles and panel

How we price and bill

Every proposal is broken down by division and by unit (squares of wall, linear feet of trim, openings), so you can check each line against your own takeoff. We invoice bi-weekly by percent complete. Quantity variance bills at the same unit cost, with no added markup.

Insurance in force before we mobilize

  • General Liability for the full project
  • Workers' Compensation on every crew member
  • Auto Liability on company vehicles
  • Umbrella above the primary policies
  • Additional Insured certificates
  • Waiver of Subrogation on request

Certificates go out before mobilization, naming your company as additional insured when the contract calls for it.

What we self-perform

From the plywood out, plus windows, doors and decks. Each scope has its own page with what we install and how.
