New siding built for Massachusetts winters

We strip your walls down, fix what's rotten, wrap them tight and hang siding that sheds wind-driven rain for decades. You get a written estimate before anything gets torn off.

4Ever siding work in Massachusetts

Most siding problems in Massachusetts start behind the panels. Water gets past a lap, sits on the sheathing through a freeze-thaw cycle, and a few winters later you've got soft wood around a window. New siding can't fix that if it goes on over a wall nobody looked at. That's why we open your walls up first and check what's actually there.

Before any panel goes up, your substrate gets inspected and photographed. Bad sheathing comes out. DuPont Tyvek HomeWrap goes on with every seam and lap taped and sealed. Every window and door gets flashed so water heads back out instead of in. Then we fasten the siding exactly the way the manufacturer manual calls for, with the right clearances at the roof, deck and grade.

You pick the material that fits your house and your budget. Gentek vinyl, with premium colors at no upcharge. James Hardie fiber cement. Engineered wood and composite. Metal and aluminum panel for a modern or commercial look. We've done 300+ exterior remodels and 162+ new construction projects, and every install is backed by our 5 year workmanship warranty.

Why our siding work holds up

01

We look before we cover

Your sheathing gets inspected and photographed before a single panel goes on. If something's rotten, you see it and we fix it, so it doesn't stay buried under new siding.

02

Every opening is flashed

Windows and doors are where wind-driven rain gets in during a nor'easter. We flash each one so water is pushed back out to the face of your wall.

03

Fastened by the manual

Nail spacing, clearances and expansion gaps follow the manufacturer's install manual. That keeps your material warranty intact and stops panels from buckling when temperatures swing.

04

We stand behind the work

If anything we installed fails because of how we installed it, we come back and correct it at no cost for 5 years. Manufacturer material warranties pass straight to you.

Questions about siding

Should I replace my siding or just repair a few spots?

If the damage is limited to a few cracked or loose panels and the wall behind them is dry, a repair can make sense. Once you see soft sheathing, swelling around windows, or several elevations showing wear, patching just moves the problem around. We'll show you photos of what we find and tell you straight which one fits your house.

Can you install new siding over my old siding?

We'd rather not. A lot of 1920s to 1950s homes around here have old cedar shingle or asbestos siding sitting under a layer of vinyl. Covering it again hides rot and makes it hard to get a flat, properly flashed wall. On a free estimate we'll check what's under yours and explain your options, including how asbestos siding needs to be handled.

How long does a siding job take?

It depends on the size of your house, the material, and how much repair the walls need once they're open. Our Framingham fiber cement re-side with shake detail was finished in four business days. Your written estimate includes a schedule, and you'll get a written start window before work begins.

What changes the cost of new siding?

The big ones are the material you choose, the square footage of your walls, how many windows and doors need trim and flashing, and how much damaged sheathing turns up during tear-off. Trim details like shake gables, fascia wrap and soffit add to it too. We measure everything in person and put it all in a written estimate.

What goes under the siding?

On every job we inspect the sheathing, replace anything that's rotten, then wrap your walls in DuPont Tyvek HomeWrap with taped and sealed seams. Every window and door is flashed. If you want better energy performance, we can add continuous rigid insulation before the siding goes on.
